Pirelli & C was established in Milan in 1872 by Giovanni Battista Pirelli, a twenty-four years old engineer, and a year later he set up the first general rubber goods factory. After 128 years of enterprise, Pirelli operates successfully around the world and the new millennium opened under the sign of e-Pirelli: a cultural change which places the Group in front of the Net revolution.
