Neil Hodgson won both the races of the Italian stage of the 2003 Superbike World Championship at Monza. The English rider, on his Ducati 999, got win number 200 for Ducati.
The race in Monza saw favourable results for Pirelli riders, having taken points in both races with Martin and Borciani: the Australian Steve Martin finished ninth and the seventh. Borja decided not to start because of a bad fall during the official qualifying.
